(4) PRICELESS TREASURE showed promise on her debut and should fight out the finish again.
(6) SOMBREUIL and (5) SMART STAR make their debut. Watch for market support for both.
(3) JET SET RUN needs to find a few lengths to win but could earn some minor money.
Race 2 (1,400m)
(5) LADY BLUNT has been fair in her three starts in the Western Cape. She should fight out the finish.
(1) BAROLO showed promise on debut and looked an unlucky loser. She is quite capable of going one better this time around.
(6) ROYAL CITY GIRL showed promise on debut and can contest the finish once again.
(8) SILVAN MISTRESS showed some improvement in her second start and has a winning chance in this line-up.
Race 3 (2,000m)
(3) WAHEED chased home a very good three-year-old last time and should be rewarded for that with a victory this time around.
(5) AHEAD OF THE FACTS has a lot to do to beat Waheed if official merit ratings are to believed, but he can prove that wrong.
(1) MASTER FORESTER was a couple of lengths behind that rival last time and should be a danger under Richard Fourie.
(4) MISTER SPEAKER could also earn some money.
Race 4 (2,000m)
(1) LOTUS ISLAND has won her last three starts and Fourie will be aboard this filly. So she gets the vote.
(2) FIRST WISH has also won her last three starts and has really shone since rising in distance.
(5) TAP SHOES did not show her best last time but has made the trip from the Western Cape and has a winning chance.
(6) GREENLITEALLTHEWAY has also made the trip from Cape Town and deserves respect.
Race 5 (1,400m)
(3) BLOSSOMING MIND showed improvement last time, so sets the standard for the race.
(2) TWILIGHT BAY makes her local debut and would not be a surprise winner.
(1) GENTEEL is in good form and can contest the finish once again.
(6) DUCHESS OF SEVILLE is better than she has been showing and could like this distance.
Race 6 (1,600m)
(11) PRIME VENTURE is not well drawn but ran well when last seen at this track and can go one better in a competitive race.
(5) GRANDIOSA was a good winner last time and can follow up under a penalty.
(1) CENTRAL CITY is consistent and can contest the finish once again.
(10) MEETATTHEWINDSOR and (13) ANCHOR MAN are others to consider.
Race 7 (1,000m)
(1) KINGDUNDEE is a very good three-year-old and was only run out of it very late last time. He was very impressive over this distance in his penultimate start and can go one better.
(3) MERCANTOUR was not far off that rival on local debut and can contest the finish again.
(5) ANUSCHKA'S WORLD remains in good form and is not out of it.
(6) CLIFF TOP and (8) KARANGETANG have place chances.
Race 8 (1,200m)
(2) SILVERY SURFER was full of running in his maiden win and could have more to offer.
(3) COASTAL PATH likes this course and distance and has a winning chance.
(6) CHAMPONELLE has improved at this centre and would not be a surprise winner.
(1) SWEET AND TRUE returned to form with a narrow win last time and has more to do this time.
